Art Gallery Competition
This year, we are introducing a juried art exhibition to our congress, seeking works of art created by medical students or young artists who have an eye to observe medicine from an artistic point of view. There will be a number of 20 artworks that will be selected for exhibition and displayed during the entire congress period at our main venue, so each and every participant can enjoy them!
The 20 artworks will be selected through a review process by our art committee. In order to participate in the competition, the entrant has to be registered as a Passive Participant, or Presenting Author - if the entrant also plans on submitting a scientific abstract.
The entrant has to submit his or her original artwork. To submit a piece of art, the participant has to log in to his/her account, go to the “Submit your artwork” tab and follow the instructions there. A given artwork can be submitted only once. One participant may submit a maximum of 3 artworks.
The artwork must be submitted as an image, photo or scan in one of the following digital formats: .jpg or .png format that does not exceed 15mb in filesize, in order for them to be reviewed by our art committee.
Painting, drawing, photography, and digital art printed on paper or canvas are eligible for the competition. The physical size of the artworks must be within 15x20cm and 30x40cm. While filling in the Artwork Submission Form, please do NOT use special characters or diacritics.
Our art committee will evaluate all the submitted works of art. The review process will be double blind, which means that both the reviewer’s and the author’s identity are concealed from each other. After the evaluation, the 20 works of art selected by our juries will be announced, and the winners will receive an e-mail with further details on preparing for the exhibition.
Once you receive confirmation that your work has been selected, you don't have to worry about the treatment your artwork will get. We are already prepared for your artwork to make it look perfect during the entire event. By that, we mean that we will provide the frame and the easel! You don't have to worry about sending your artwork earlier to us. All you have to do is meet with us on Thursday, 30th of March at Auditorium Pallady and hand us your work so we can prepare it for the event.
Furthermore, there is a great chance to meet with medicine and art lovers, to exchange ideas and why not, sell and buy some pieces of art! Everything sounds good, right?
Luckily, you have enough time to join the competition. The deadline is March 20th and we will announce the results as soon as possible. Good luck!
